Because of perique's fermentation process, it accumulates a ton of good bacteria. So, it must be good to eat. I've thought about mixing it into my smoothies, or just eating it straight. Good for you, and relieves any vitamin N deficiency.

Has anybody else done this?

Thank.

Well I definetly wouldn't advise smoking it. Gross...
A deep and abiding love for smoking perique is a requirement (as in mandatory) for both meer and briar smoking.

You hereby have a period of two weeks (trying to be lenient) to acquire a taste and stock up on perique heavy blends...otherwise surrender your meers and briars to @Chasing Embers for total destruction.

I'm aware you do like burley so you're permitted to retain your cobs.

I like it by itself.
