In another thread, I said what I wanted for Christmas this year was to finally win a Pipestud auction. Today, I got my wish! I wanted this one badly! I've definitely been bitten by the Sasieni bug! This one is a Joel Sasieni era Four Dot Haslemere. I already have this same pipe, but it is one of my favorite Sasieni shapes and this one looks to be in even better condition than the first. Thanks for offering this one, Steve!

Congrats on that one! Patent-era Sasieni's are wonderful pipes. The grain is gorgeous on that one, and 29.0 grams makes it a winner!!.......... :puffy:

So many elements in this beauty!
The flame! !! So pretty.

4-square shank and stem. When I see this I immediately think of a panel-billiard, but in this case only the stem is paneled.

A billiard, but not a panel billiard.

Hard to say but I lean toward calling it a freehand given the flouting of the panel billiard design, made especially pronounced by the S-stem, which, again, I expect it to be straight.

An unusual and beautiful pipe!
