Got an awesome (kind of) surprise on Friday when I met up with Dave for our semi-weekly smoke at the local B&M. I say kind of a surprise because he had let slip a few times in the past that I probably shouldn't buy any more tampers for awhile, and although I thought that was a strange suggestion, I didn't give it a a lot of thought until he said he had something for me, but didn't want to wait until my birthday in November.
So when I went to light up this past Friday, he says, "I think you might need this..." and hands me a slim black pipe-sock looking bag. I opened it up, and this little beauty created by our own Ed James spilled out!
I love the combination of the steel and brass, and the addition of the green briar that matches the Troll Foot pipe that I commissioned from Dave a few months ago just makes it perfect! Truly a special and thoughtful gift.
