Isn't that what's pipe smoking is about? Boring is good!

I'm away from home because of a family situation, but will elaborate later.

Perhaps my best smoking pipe of all pipes I own is my Dunhill Tanshell 197 long billiard from 67,and close second is Dunhill shell Canadian 3109 from 2000 era ,this Tanshell does have a metal innertube but I rather prefer to smoking it without inserting those tubes (better draw & less moisture)

I've had 7 or 8, but currently keep 3.
The oldest is a 1947 Shell with lovely craggy ring grain.


Another is a group 3 1961 Shell bulldog that smokes exceedingly well.



The best smoker I must say though is the 1978 Dead Root oval shank billiard.

The only Dunhill I still own is a 1926 Bruyere 151 with a Swan Neck.
