Is a Big Dunhill Root Briar a good one?

Looks like a great pipe. To my knowledge, there are no bad Dunhills so enjoy it. BTY, I have 2- one from 1932 and one (Rubybark) from about 1976. Your's looks much nicer.

A new Dunhill stem, complete with the white dot and all, would cost about $35/40 I suppose.

Dunhills have a reputation for being quality, reliable smoking pipes. If the price is right, go for it! Dave Wolff at Walker Briar Works is a +1 for me, too. Whether it just needs to be cleaned and polished or totally restored, Dave won't steer you wrong.
