Sorry! FWIW they were out of two when I ordered. And, no, I didn't order THAT much. Really. I swear.

couple of mine were on back order too... but at that deal... I can wait. I bought 12 tins... mix and match was awesome, not like SP buy 4 tins get one free of the SAME kind... still a decent deal last month at SP and I took advantage, but this deal is killer as far as my limited experience goes in pipe tobacco.

Seems like lots of sites are running Dunhill tin sales this time of year. Must be a manufacturers promo or something. I found another site online (not a PM sponsor so I won't list them) that is doing a buy 3, get 1 free, and currently has all 9 blends in stock.

Placed my order for a dozen tins, about half on b/o. No problem waiting.
I still remember what it was like a few years back when Dunhill stopped pipe tobacco production, When I first heard that Nightcap was no longer available, I thought, "No problem, I'll just concentrate on MM965", which were my two mainstays at that time. I shortly found out about the entire line being pulled....NOOOOO! Well, begrudgingly checked out Westminster and a few others (including Penzance, which, ironically was readily available then) and they stepped up to fill the spot for a few years. Westminster is still there, but MM965 and NC are sharing that primary position these days.

I had the P&C calender, so I knew about this sale ahead of time. I had my cart picked out the night before, and placed my order around 9am. Got everything except Deluxe Navy Rolls and London mixture(backorder), and 965(didn't like the bulk).
A local B&M has the London Mixture, so I might just pick that up from there, so I can try it . I decided to buy Escudo instead of Dunhill Navy. Cheaper and I read on tobaccoreviews.com that they are pretty much the same. I think for a $4 difference, I'd go with Escudo.
I also ordered the Brigadier Black sampler (4 8oz tins for about $50). Bull Run was on backorder, and they've since deleted it from their site. Glad I already tried it, but kinda mad at myself for forgetting about the can and letting it turn to crumbly dust. It was a pretty good vanilla blend

Even though items show out of stock, they're still shipping quickly. I took advantage of the sale this morning with a rather large order, most of which was on back order. I just got my shipping notification that everything has shipped... It took about 7 hours.
I'm a big believer of buy cheap and buy deep. I've learned a lesson with the current ammo availability. Or lack thereof.

+1 on that several articles available about how close they are to being the same thing, little more spice to the navy rolls I suppose, but not $4 worth.

Interesting: I placed an order Thurs. for 12 Dunhill tins, 4 products, 2 of which were "backorder". Rec'd an email yesterday (Friday) stating that my entire order had been shipped. No complaint here, just acknowledging great service.
