Does anybody have any experience with them?
I was noodling through a flea market yesterday and ran across one. I was intrigued by it, but after a quick smartphone check on the Bay, thought the 32 buck tag was overpriced given it's condition.
I know they were meant to be cigarette lighters, but I like lighters and I certainly appreciate the history behind the Service offering.
Thanks

I have a fairly battered one of these - it's the only way I'll ever own a Dunhill lighter. It's a great lighter, nice patina, nice feel in the hand, an interesting piece of history, and conversation starter.
The only problem is that's its not fuel tight - bit of a design flaw in that the flint tube is integral to the main body/fuel chamber, and is formed by crimping the metal together.
Nice, simple effective design though. Fill it up and it's good to go for a day to two. No good for lighting a pipe!!!!

I haven't seen one, but as a lighter collector, I may have snatched it up if it wasn't to beaten up. It's

funny, I hardly even use a lighter except a Zippo outside. Have always been afraid I'd burn the rim.
