Ran across a tin of this in my cellar while checking for any leakage in the tins. Anyone familiar with this particular labeling.

Sorry guys, Don't have the faculties to send a picture. If you put the title in goggle it will show you the label. Says 1934 on the back of the tin.

Not too busy to reply, just realized that I had posted this last night and had forgotten to log out.

Wouldn't consider smoking it yet. Just wondered what that 1934 meant...really tinned in 1934? Hard to believe. But is that what it means or is that just a labeling thing.

I'm guessing a labeling thing, using the 1934 as a nostalgia trigger. Hope I'm wrong and you can report to us on how a tin of 1934 Dunhill smokes by now.

I bet he ran into Pipestud or Deathmetal ... and perhaps is in tears over sharing his bounty with those extremely hardcore Royal Yacht puffers.

Nope, not planning on selling it unless someone WANTS to give me a ridiculous figure for it. However, a good friend of mine who knows tobacco far better than I will be the recipient of half when and if WE decide to open it. Used the Caps for a reason, it will be a joint decision. I've seen pictures of it on Google so I am inclined to think that it is real, but I just don't know for a fact. If there is anyone who has real information, I would be glad to hear a response on this fabulous forum complete with scrathy people (like me) and all. Really a fine forum of fine people. At 74 years of age, I have a little experience with folks.

Strange doings. The back of the label which has 1934 on it has a bar code (don't think they had bar codes in 1934) plus it says manufactured in the EU/Denmark.

Just a cruel joke I'm afraid. Got me excited though.

Wonder why it has the date on the label.

Here's one of a Royal Yacht (on left) painted in 1934:

No way is your tin from anywhere near that date.
