Hello everyone! I have heard of Nightcap and I want to try it. I have not been able to find it anywhere and I tried buying some from a post here but it was sold before I could get to it. I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get a tin to try. I know that the Dunhill Brands are going away but I found that my local shop has a small stock of Elizabethan and other blends that should not exist. If anyone has any tips, I would appreciate it and be forever thankful.
Cheers!

The best suggestion I have would be to call around to other tobacconists and see if they will ship to you. I know the stock on the Dunhill stuff is beginning to thin, but I've been in a few B&Ms in recent weeks that still had quite a few Dunhill tins left. It's just trial and error. I'd search google for tobacconists and jot down each one so I don't lose track and call them all one by one. It's quite possibly the only way left, I believe.

Blue: I saw that one and thats what prompted me to start asking on here.

Mr. Churchwarden: That’s a good idea. I will start calling around to local places and then moving out of the state.

Just make sure they can ship to you, in whichever state you live. I live in North Carolina and I know a few here that won't/can't ship out of my state, but a lot of them do.

It's incredible how quickly good, but fairly common blends become unobtainium. Just a couple months ago you could just nip on down to your B&M or any website and score Nightcap, and it wasn't too terribly long ago that McClelland was in a similar boat.

Well, supposedly, they're going to still be made by someone else, just under a different name. Now whether it'll be the exact same blend as far as components and taste, that I do not know. I believe Sutliff already has some matches to the Dunhill blends and I think JimInks did a rather intense tasting and comparing thread some time ago.

I'm sure many discontinued Dunhill blends will continue to be available on ebay at over inflated prices. Great investment opportunity, however, I'll just keep smoking my stash 'til it's gone.

How quickly it became unobtainable??

Dunhills announcement that it was no longer going to sell pipe tobacco had to be the longest warning in pipe tobacco history......you had plenty of time to sell a kidney to stock up

I have plenty of Dunhill in the cellar, what I mean is that for people entering the hobby post-Dunhill, it is unobtainium, unless you're willing to pay the inflated third-party seller prices, which will only go up in the future.

I think what he meant was, that a month ago you could buy Nightcap for $9 a tin online, now $30 on eBay.
