Ha! I would like to get more info the pipe before I do anything. 'Someone' went through all of that extra work of stringing a small cord through the pipe and heat crimping the ends. I suppose a skilled artisan of yester-lore wouldn't have batted an eye for such a small feat at the time. However as soon as I find out its been in an evidence locker of a gruesome crime I'm cutting the string faster than you can say Spy vs. Spy.

I refuse to taste any 'bonding'. There is only a hint of Alfred himself cleaning (as per his most famous customers' request) not repairing this piece...with some added time travel.

I don't mind and yes it certainly is. I've read the tag in your pics and it reads repairs, however after scanning the pipe under a microscope I am convinced it was only reamed and cleaned. -An offer the factory provided with their famous guarantee.
