So I bought this pipe, and after getting it I saw this in its description:
"Fine pot shape that is well used, but it still has many years left. We can't read the last two digits on this pipe. Note that the stem is a little off and tobacco chamber is not centrered."

Do you think this could cause issues during my smoke? Such as a wet or hot smoke?

There is only one way to find out, but maybe post a pic of the chamber and someone may have some insight. If the suggestion is the chamber wall is extra thin on one side, maybe hot I guess.

No !
Those issues should not cause any problems

Those issues are mostly operator error.
Even thin walls can be smoked cool to the touch if not smoked hard.

unless it creates a area where the smoke tube crimps and is noticeably restricted. Otherwise the smoke won't care.
Reminds me of people telling me bent pipes smoke really hot.

Without seeing it, I still would say that unless you are really "hot-boxing" this pipe, there should be no problem. Smoke responsibly and enjoy.

I was gonna say, not to sound like a dick to OP's acquisition, but isn't this supposedly why Dunhills cost literally 10x what other pipes that look exactly like them do? lol
Like other than their name they mostly use basic shapes (not an insane artistry level of design or handiwork).

If I purchased a Dunhill (used or not) and it was anything other than 99.8% perfectly executed with superb quality block I would not be keeping it... am I missing something with them? While there's quite alot of "running on the cache of an old, legendary name without delivering the goods" in this industry, Dunhill seems to be the prime offender by far from where I'm standing...

I only have a few Dunhills so I really can’t comment on their quality over the decades they have been producing pipes.

Like all producers, there will be lemons.
And yes, there will be years when quality is not what it should be - take a look at Peterson.
There will always be naysayers.

BUT I have been very happy with the few I have.
I like their classic look.
Drilling is spot on. One or two may be slightly misaligned (you’d need a very keen eye or a ruler to spot it).
They are all light weight and easily clenched.
And they all smoke well (for me)

Yeah I mean I definitely love their style an providence.. and I have heard they are nice and light. But my point/question was just the quality assurance aspect... I'd have thought with such a high price you'd be paying for them to sort out the lemons and send them off to be squeezed lol. Again I'm not trying to be a naysayer, just the opposite, I had thought about rewarding myself with one some day when I'm more established but posts like this make me think twice :/

It sounds to me like it's an estate, and I would guess the chamber is out-of-round due to over-reaming. I presume what they mean about the stem is that it has been over-buffed too, and the exterior doesn't line up with the shank. Neither are QC issues with Dunhill pipes.

And in response to the OP, it shouldn't affect how it smokes.

Also, to the more general point of the reason for buying a Dunhill being solely the high quality of finish - that's one reason. Their classic shaping is another, collectability another, name recognition another. I have a number of Dunhills, some in impeccable condition, some less so. I paid a fair amount for some (specific ones I wanted), and got others in joblots for £10 or £20. One of my favourites is one from the 80s that was in a cheap joblot. The stem is way over-buffed, and it's ghosted with Ennerdale. So, I smoke Ennerdale in it - and it's a great pipe!

Also, on the name recognition thing - new ones aren't even called Dunhills anymore!

I don't think these would be smoking issues. More to do with how the pipe looks, and maybe resale value. The good thing about a beat, well used, well smoked pipe is that it probably smokes very well.

Unfortunately even high priced artisanal pipes or commissions may have faults. Although as individual pieces, they would go through more vigorous scrutiny before it is sent out.
Dunhills are still factory pieces, despite their higher prices and there may be lapses in their quality control.

All but 2 of mine (both generous gifts) are estates - bought online. The oldest is a birth year 1952 and the youngest a Millinium from 2000.
Perhaps I have been lucky not to have problems with my Dunhills.
But I was very careful when selecting the ones I have.

I think that if Dunhill owners were surveyed, there’d be more yeahs than nays
