Does anyone here have any experience with or an opinion on handling/storing tinned tobacco once you open it ? I've noticed that some aromatics will lose their unique flavor if left exposed to air, but trying to keep it packed in the tin doesn't seem quite right. I've started to "repack" opened tins in airtight tupperware containers. I'm wondering whether anyone has a better method for retaining freshness. As to dryness, I live in a humid environment in South Florida so I just take a bowlful out and let it air dry for 30 or so minutes and it smokes dry and clean. I agree with the other posts that a little on the drier side is better, but it depends on your environment, you pipe, and your tastes.
