Around here, there's NO SUCH THING as "drug store" pipe tobacco. Drug stores stock cigarettes (a million different brands) and nothing else. Call it a strange side effect of legislation, but the only place to get pipe tobacco (excepting online) is at the tobacconist, and they stock mostly "the good stuff", with a few sad pouches of Amphora or Sail. I've only ever seen Captain Black once, and I've never seen PA.

same here--really a strange circumstance--laws and taxes designed to make cigarettes more difficult to find seemingly have the opposite effect, while making other forms of tobacco almost impossible to find--heck, i can't even find pipe cleaners locally--
i find a few of the old "codger" blends (aka drugstore tobaccos) at 'some' supermarkets, but more likely available at out of the way small general store places in the boonies--BUT there is a freshness problem--then there is the cost factor--supermarkets really jack the prices up--saw a tub of rum and maple for almost $40 the other day--is R & M scarce or endangered??
Edit: Pstlpkr just took out the Returns.
