Wow, what a find. I wouldn't be able to buy them and resist the urge to smoke them. I don't think they would be as valuable if they were already smoked :D

Beautiful! Not what I would collect but superb pipes.

Nice looking pipes. I'm not what I would consider a collector, so buying vintage unsmoked pipes isn't my cup of tea. Getting a set of fine new or fine estate pipes and restoring them is more like it. That Stanwell Night and Day series has me intrigued...

They both look like great pipes but no way on this earth could i justify the price without being able to smoke em

just to note the ending price, 1,544.00 usd. A lot of mullah for two pipes that will never be smoked imho.

When you first posted them I didn't have anything positive to say about them.

To tell you the truth I was underwhelmed.

I thought that I'd wait a while to see if I could come up with something positive to say...

Well.... To tell you the truth, I'm still underwhelmed especially in light of the cost.

For some reason they just don't turn my crank.

At first I got caught with an "oh wow" moment, then reality sunk in, nothing to have really. Kinda like when I first saw one of those Dunhills with all the silver elaberations, tigers and what not, after a while all I could think of is, god that looks gaudy.
