I kinda figured it was a typo or something. :lol: I love those tapered 5/32" bits.

Thanks guys. I actually got busy this week and forgot about it. I will probably tentatively try a few of these ideas.

I was using 5/32 in the pipe bowl; the stem looks to be half that size or less.

As a follow up: the draw felt about the same, and I didn't end up trying the above methods, so I tossed it in a box. Then, months later, my dad gave it a smoke out of curiosity and he said it smoked fine now. I tried it and it does indeed smoke well. So, I guess I had opened the draw up sufficiently despite thinking otherwise.
