Down Time in the Field

I’m trying to convert my friend to pipe smoking and he is willing, but I just need to get him a pipe. I’m trying to get him a basic little bundle from the Free Pipe Project, since I found an interesting thread about that recently. I think I may have some luck with that, and I’m hoping to get him set all up before our next deployment! I’ve got plenty of time before then.

Yeah, it's misleading. If you go over to the right hand side of your screen on the "forums" home page you will see a notification of a message. click that and it will take you where you need to go.

Understood. I wondered about the uniform not being multicam?

What is it that you did by trade when you served? It is always nice to meet other members of the armed forces.

I was trained in many things but my main experience has been as EOD (explosive ordnance disposal for the rest of you). I did four tours in the balkans during the 90ies and had some good times with American servicemen. Especially the Navy EOD mobile unit eight from Sicily. We were aloud to drink beer at our camp so they often scheduled "joint training" with the Swedes and brought over a lot of 64mm that needed inerting.

@mrslaughter Cobs are the best smokers! I had a Cobbit Dwarf, perfect for the 15 minutes break or reading and puffing slowly!

@Mrslaughter - I am enjoying my MM Cobbit Shire with some Lane Ready Rubbed. I love cobs in general and have a number of them but I believe this is my favorite.
