I didn't like the new photobucket either. That's why I switched back to the original version five minutes into it.

I just endured the trauma of losing "Webshots" (the best by a long shot) so I tried Photobucket and Flickr but settled on Picasa. It's not as convenient as Webshots was but works. It is tied in with Google. These new programs seem to be primarily aimed at integration with Facebook, which I don't use much, so those features are lost on me.
My issue is space. I had 1,600 photos on Webshots, with a 10,000 photo limit (free). Any of the other programs offer far less storage. Guess I'll have to learn to purge.

Hmm, changing my assessment of Photobucket. I went back and gave it another try. I do like the instant copy of the IMG code for posting piotures in a forum reply. But, I could not get the new photobucket to rearrange my pictures, so reverted back to the old interface and it worked fine.

Test album of gallery pix:

I don't mind the new one actually. Like anything else just takes a little getting used to. Uploading seems quicker on my machine so overall I'm happy with it.

photoman, that's exactly why I switched back. You would think they would make the most common edits more obvious. Though I can't really complain about a free service.

I've been using IMGUR.com for it's simplicity
it also has a Firefox plugin that let's you right-click photos to upload them, the same with taking a screenshot. Handy
I read somewhere that Photobucket.com represents 2% of the entire world-wide web's annual data transfer.

The 2 GB limit is a problem, I'm already at around 5%. I guess the days of free, unlimited storage are behind me.
Al, on my Account Status/Account Settings it says that a "new" feature is unlimited storage limits for free accounts:
Photobucket has removed the storage limits for free accounts!

Now you can upload all your photos and up to 500 videos!
The only limit I see is on bandwidth.

I've tried Flickr and now Photobucket, both are pretty good. The PB account is the easiest of the two for posting photos here on the forum. I'm thinking of trying out Picasa because I've heard it was a good service and I like its associated with Google.

Greg is correct, looks like I'm sticking with Photobucket. I do like the instant copy feature, two less clicks to post a picture from my album.
