I have a Tsuge Tokyo series sandblast Bamboo, and I agree. Beautiful pipe, and great smoker as well! Picked it up pretty much unsmoked off the 'Bay for a great price. I feel like Tsuge doesn't get enough love from the forums. They make some really nice pipes, even outside the Ikebana series.

This thread inspired me to look closely at my one bamboo shank pipe, a Bob Hayes rusticated Dublin with an especially deep bowl, and yes, I think it has darkened slightly in the approximately five years I've owned it, though I wouldn't have thought of it, nor noticed it, if I hadn't read this thread.
