Yeah it isn't specific enough.... you can even plugin "Scratching My Nugget Pouch" and it still holds true.

I think this mission will ripen with time. I think the probe will be in orbit for about 18 months and the information will unfold, and the photos will be intriguing. This is a polar orbit, so it will access data that has been previously unknowable. Pretty nifty if you have the patience for this stuff.
A point of interest is that -- if the illustration I saw is correct -- the orbit is widely elliptical, brushing close to one pole then swinging about three planet-widths away from Jupiter. There's probably some specific reason for this, but it wasn't explained.

Your photos have caused me a bunch of moneys. Now the proud owner of a 10" Celestron with wedge and other assorted, costly accessories.
To the best of my knowledge, C only makes a C9.25 and C11 SCT, no 10". Meade makes the 10. However, worth pointing out is that much of the technology and other things we take for granted in our world today are tricked down from the space program. So, in an indirect way, spending money on space might very much go towards helping solve many of the more worthwhile things mentioned above!
And if it ever comes to an NEO, those silly space programs might actually save the entire planet from extinction!

Space exploration is always worth it. Most of our world -- despite science -- is mystery. Let us probe the edges of that envelope.
