Documenting my bowls with photos

A couple of years ago I started documenting different pipe+tobacco combinations with pictures and posting them to Instagram. I found it a fun way to keep track of which combinations I've tried, making note of the ones that matched exceptionally well -- and to enjoy my photography hobby. Thanks for the kind words, everyone! I do find Instagram a very handy visual cataloguing tool, allowing me to save photos of those exceptional tobacco+pipe combinations in a folder I named 'great smokes' for future reference. It's interesting how certain pipes can make certain tobacco blends really sing.

BTW, the brooklynpipeclub just surpassed 2,000 followers on Instagram. Thanks for looking!

Excellent photographs! What a great idea and so beautifully executed. I may have to give this a try myself. The idea of being able to look back at pipes and tobaccos is stimulating but I think the plain ole' aesthetics of it all would make great pics for the smoking room. ::
