The original Twilight Zone is something that has never been matched, and I dont think it ever will.

The 80's show was ok, but it lacked the originality and passion of the original. I think my favorite part of the original was how almost every show contained a message of morality, that doing the right thing wins in the end no matter what age or universe the tale takes place.

It was brilliant writing, exceptional characters and brilliant use of simple stages and effects that made the original great. I dont think anyone else has captured the same feelings on television since.

I couldn't agree more! In fact there is that message in many of the 80's versions as well and some are exact copies of the same stories form the Original Series. Rod was ahead of his time and sadly these messages are lost to the modern youth as are the finest shows form the 80-90's in my book. What is on these days is just pathetic. No morality, no simple rules to govern yourself by and the word of the day is "F everyone and do what you want". Sadly that is the same rule of the church of satan. Look it up - "Do as Thou Whilst"

The originals are the best of Rod Serling's imagination...ever.I had much rather watch those that the stupid crap that's on TV today. Some of the "Tales from the Crypt" were great too. Did you see the one that had the line, "Thanks for the ride, lady". That one was freaky.

Hey colcolt - "Thanks for the ride, lady". That is from the Movie "tales From the Crypt"
Watch it again HERE!

Wait? That may not be the right one?
But if you look here you are certain to find something interesting. Keep in mind my TV is hooked to my computer so I watch movies this way all the time.

Maybe it was Creep Show I was thinking about. Anyway, Adrienne Barbeau hits this guy that's trying to hitch hike accidentally with her car and decides to drive on but, he keeps appearing to her while she's driving. Every time she stops or slows down he tells her, "Thanks for the ride, lady" although he's dead.
I remember now, it was called "The Hitch Hiker" and it was Creepshow 2.

Here is a TRUE - Psychological Thriller, when I first watched this on TV I was spellbound by the way they made this and how it felt like a bigtime movie to me. See what you think!
