I tend to gravitate to billiards and bulldogs, bent and straight. I have many other shapes and like them as well but when looking at pipes those two catch my eye first.
Very nice shape.
Thank you So much! You have helped me find what I’m looking for.The Savinelli 614 (which both of yours seem to be) would be considered a Full-bent Billiard.
I likes these Savs. I almost pulled the trigger on one recently. Savinelli lists them as a bent billiard but some places like smokingpipes list them as a Oom Paul.I like the extreme bent. But I have no idea what they are called.
I’ve looked up “Bulldog” shape but there a many variations of it and nothing like these 2.
Who can help me so I know what I call them. Both are Savinelli.View attachment 330002
Don't forget the Peterson Baskerville and Watson ... both hybrid Hungarian full bent shapes.I’ll research that thanks so much. You and everyone have been so GREAT to help me.
Thanks so much from West Valley Utah,
When I started out I leaned towards the bent apple, until I bought my first bent brandy and it just fit my hand so well, that's about all I look at when on the hunt for a knew pipe. Unless something exoctic catches my eye.I like bent pipes of all sorts but a bent brandy is really nice....or one of the many off shoots of the shape.
I really like dublins as well. I prefer when they have some meat on their bones so the bottom doesnt get hot.
Nice squash blossom necklace. The whole get up makes you look like you are looking to produce a movie and are asking where the leading lady's trailer is. You need some aviator sunglasses though.I should add one more thing: Bulldogs generally are only smoked by people who are sure of themselves and embrace life in a style that ignores what "others" might think. I have heard so many times from others, "I would love to wear or own a shirt or jacket, etc, that exudes style or is a bit over the top, but I wouldn't feel comfortable - generally because of what others might think." The alternative for them is to conform for the sake of belonging. This is actually an important concept; however, when it comes to your own individuality and your own space, the freedom to express yourself is a wonderful luxury and is priceless - within reason of course. So, if you see a pipe shape that might be wildly different from what you might otherwise get, but you find yourself somehow strangely drawn to it - get it.

The necklace is an old pawn made from coin silver. I looked long and hard for that one.Nice squash blossom necklace. The whole get up makes you look like you are looking to produce a movie and are asking where the leading lady's trailer is. You need some aviator sunglasses though.
In the 1930s my grandfather was an enforcer on the St. Louis river front when they actually had a working waterfront on the Mississippi River. When he retired he turned down his Union pension because he didn’t want “anyone“ to know where he lived. No @telescopes I think you are rocking life with those badass sunshades… so much so i think you could be mistaken for having just walked off the set of The Sopranos
