That looks like some steam-punk creation right there!

I must say that a pipe looks to be a necessity when operating a steam train.
The little engine to the right is a small steam powered water pump, which feeds the large boiler on the left - this provides the steam to power the coal / clay mine winding engine pictured below.

And yes, pipe essential!

The wife & I love RVing and have been pretty active with this for the past 5 - 6 years -- it's a great way to see the country and escape from the summer heat here in the Houston area. This is a pic of our current rig. Our plan this year was to head out from early June to late October, but the virus has changed our plan to "Wait & see." Already had reservations in NM, CO, MY & MT, but shortly will have to start doing some cancellations.

I actually have quite a few. I have dabbled in blacksmithing, wood working (joinery specifically), and making medieval armour. I hunt, fish, and enjoy being outdoors, but I don't consider them hobbies, part of my life. I brew beer, and study and recreate the history of the first third of the sixteenth century Germany, specifically the Holy Roman Empire. I have learned the skills needed to employ a sword against another man, but sadly my body no longer lets me pursue this passion. I am currently attempting to build a matchlock arquebus. I shoot firearms competitively, SASS, USPSA and three gun. Oh yeah, my family likes Mopars. I think that's all.
Sounds like we have a lot in common - I'm into medieval living history / reenactment and like getting out into the country. I got into clay pipes through seeing 17th / 18th century reenactors smoking them!

Related to my MGB hobby and the care it takes, I'm upgrading my tool box from a small Craftsman stack to a much larger Snap-On set. The Snap-On box belonged to my father-in-law, who passed in June. He was a retired Chrysler and big truck service manager and the box was in many of his shops, than his home garage on retirement.

These two pieces empty, weighed over 500 lbs. It was quite a feat getting them into my wife's truck for transport. Several beefy neighbor boys helped and no fingers or toes were smashed.

We shared a mechanical interest and he always said, make sure you take that box home. It was full of Snap-On and MAC tools. I spent two evenings, emptying and organizing the sets for mostly resale (I kept some, but have most of my own). It needs a few touch up's and lube, and the drawers are removed now for cleaning/lube/touch up. I ordered some good drawer liner which comes today.

I bought the Craftsman box 22 years ago, but it's been stuffed to the gills for several years. It will go to my son-in-law in New Orleans next week to continue it's life journey.

And, like many in the pandemic, I stared bicycling again on my old mountain bike. It was hard to find reasonably priced bikes in this area, but I bought a used Diamondback Hybrid in June. My brother said I would hate the cheap front suspension and he was right. A neighbor bought that and I found this Raleigh Redux 3 flat bar gravel bike, which I love. Single chain ring, 1x10 with hydraulic brakes. Good for the road and nearby C&O Canal for rides with the wife (found her a Fuji hybrid in April).

Hydraulic brakes on a bicycle? Wow, that's a new one on me Al!

Regards,

Jay.?
Well, apparently disc brakes are all the rage now and hydraulic actuation is the best (they also make a cable disc). I found A LOT has changed in bicycles since the 20 year gap when I purchased my mountain bike. My brother just spend $4,000 in a Specialized road bike with an electronic rear derailleur!
