Errr, come to think of copyrights and all, forget I said that *wink wink* *nudge nudge*
Not to worry Mason.

All of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's works are in the "public domain".
I have all of his Sherlock Holmes series and some others on my phone.

I listen to them nearly every day.

Internet Archive

Just type Sherlock Holmes into the search slot... another good search term... Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

Movies, books, Libre Vox recordings... all kinds of cool stuff.

Thanks for the link! Now I can listen to it on daily light rail (train) commute, but I still think I'll crack open the book tonight.

I guess i have been keeping dottle accidentally. You see I have washed and emptied out a peanut jar (glass) and have been throwing all my ashes and dottle into the jar just to see it fill up over time. I thought it would be fun to see all the ashes and toby that didn't get smoked. I didn't know it was smoke-able until I read something on this site concerning dottle a few weeks ago.
I have still not smoked dottle... because all of mine is currently mixed with ash and has been sealed in an air tight peanut jar.... so.............
Is what I have still smoke-able?
Do I just put it on some printer paper and blow off the ash and let it dry out and light it up?

Interesting...
@ bakersville59

Does your response mean that you NEVER have? Or you did once and found it to be so foul that you vowed never to do it again?

never have and never will keep it, especially aromatics get really nasty at the very bottom of the smoke for me...my personal opinion...no flames please.

Hey you dootle'ers. Just one question. I have never done this and I am not knocking it, I would like to save all my tobacco. I usually smoke to the bottom. How do you separate the ashes or do you just throw every thing into a jar?

Most of the time, the entire load gets smoked, as long as it's good. These Meerschaums are great for this as they absorb so much of the moisture of the smoke. If it's not so good, then it becomes dottle..., which winds up in the ash tray.
