Wondering if anyone has tried to add a topping. I've tried infusing/flavoring cigars before and its always a fail. Never tried with pipe tobacco though.

I'd like to make a really strong tequila blend. Anyone been successful doing it?

And I know you can buy blending kits.

Check out the home stoving thread and add some during that process. I’ve used several different liquors, now, and they all have worked out well. There was one bourbon that I got a little heavy-handed with and it was kinda rough. Other than that it’s been pretty nice.

Although, I suppose you could just soak it and then dry it. I’ve never done it any other way than while stoving it, so I can’t comment on that.

I concocted a topping that consisted of aged rum, honey and cocoa powder that I mixed up in a spray bottle and spritzed a Va/Per blend before pressing into a crumble cake and then stoving.

I just sprayed it until it was tacky, but not soaked. Then let it dry slightly and then put it in the press.

It came out pretty well. You can tell that there is a "boozy" topping, but the other components blended in pretty nicely to create a homogeneous flavor.

That sounds exactly like the kinda thing I had in my head but wasn't sure it would play out like I thought. Thanks!
