This is truly not the way to start off the new year. I hope your dad get's better. As for your water damage issue, it sucks big time. I thought about this simple quote: Every disaster screams for humor by Silvia Millecam.

Sorry to hear this, smokindawg. Water damage is a pain to deal with just on the physical level, not to mention the emotional stress...

Very sorry to hear about this smokindawg. Hang in there. Pipes should be fine. I've had flooded basements, but my tobacco in sealed glass bell jars, underwater three-days, were fine.

Thanks for all the well wishes and positive thoughts. The cleanup is moving along. Think it's going to be a fight with the insurance company though. Meet with the adjuster in the morning. So we shall see.
