Yes. Indoors vs outdoors makes a bit difference. Extreme heat does do something to lat blends sometimes. Some blends have "good for the outdoors" in their description. Not sure about the details on that.

I have no seasonal smokes. I smoke Va,Vaper and Vabur flakes and plugs all year round. When I did live up north and smoked English blends I smoked them year round. I no longer smoke any English blends so it is a non issue.

It's interesting that you smoked Englishes up North, and Virginia based blends in the deep South. But, you mainly smoke inside, right?
I do smoke almost exclusively indoors. I took a break from my pipes around 2008 or so for a little and when I came back to them I couldn't stand the taste of Latakia anymore. I moved down to Florida in 2003 and was smoking Latakia a good deal of the time until my break. I was smoking a lot of Penzance when I first moved here as my local b/m always had some in stock.

Funny, after I recovered from a cold last Nov, I suddenly turned from 95% Lat smoker to 95% VaPer/Va/VaBur smoker :)
