Did I Screw up my New Savinelli?

I had great luck with a large gauge needle on a syringe (feed/tack stores have them dirt cheap)

I'm not a junky so i just went with the eyedropper.

Never a shooter, but clean and sober since ‘95, worked lab and X-ray 91-00, and give our horses and dogs their shots…
I just like the right tools for me for the job.

I would go ahead and take off the rest of the stain with alcohol. And give the pipe a good polish. You didn't destroy the pipe but you probably wrecked the stain/lacquer. Not the end of the world, it'll still smoke fine. Trying to match stain can be a huge PIA and that pipe is most likely lacquered, so you have to get all the lacquer off of it.

its rusticated so only the very top is affected so this may be the best solution. will add some Decataur pipe wax like was suggested below. thanks.
