That's a fine house pipe for Mickey's world. Anyone have the back story on when Disney first offered these, for how much (and how much translated for inflation) and when they stopped selling them? That was a kind gesture to the dads and grandfathers who brought their families to the park at no small expense. I have mixed emotions about theme parks, as compared to National Parks where kids are put in touch with nature, but Disney provides a fairly sure bet for many families to have a good time together, so I'd be scrooge to glower at that. I made my one trip to the World during the gas crisis in 1973ish and the parking lot was more than half empty. Had a good, quick look at the place. Souvenir pipes of quality are interesting. I had an L.L. Bean for many years, but finally traded it; the stinger seemed to diminish the flavor. It was a good durable, light weight briar pot, nice pipe. I think it could have been less than $30 in about 1978.
