Denmark Bound

I am on my way to Denmark later today.
Sykes Wilford of SmokingPipes.com has graciously invited me to tag along with him on his regular annual trip that he has been doing for 6 years.
We will visit pipe makers and the factories of Mac Baren and Orlik.

How exciting! I am hoping to go one day myself so if you could do me a favor, that would be awesome! If you visit with Jess Chonowitsch and/or Lars Ivarssons, if you could take pictures of their workshops, sketch a general floor plan and make note of what kind of alarm systems they have, I would greatly appreciate it!

LOL HM!!! I will be seeing Nanna. I think Sykes is seeing Lars solo.
I made it to New York JFK airport so far. I await my 7 pm departure. I arrive 9 am local time in Copenhagen, which will be like 3 am for me.

We spent the day with Lars Ivarsson at his home and workshop. I have tons of good pictures and video of him working on a pipe.
This picture was taken after an amazing lunch we had of salmon and venison, which Lars hunted himself.

Also, farting while driving is not allowed in Denmark.

Those are some gorgeous pipes! Imagine doing something like making pipes so well, people are lined up and ready to buy it the minute it comes off the buffer.

Also, farting while driving is not allowed in Denmark.

Thank goodness we live in the USA, if we were in Denmark today, they'd have given my son the chair for what he did in our car.

I am posting from Sykes' laptop, as mine died last night right after I moved all my media, photos and videos from the trip onto the laptop and off the cameras. This is one of those times it would have been better to do a COPY / paste, instead of CUT / paste. I almost bit through my pipe stem on that one.
So now, all of my content is on a laptop that will not boot up. Some of it is backed up to Sykes' laptop though, thank God.

That sucks Kevin. Hopefully your laptop isn't totally trashed. Did you lose all of the files?
