McClelland Holiday Spirit '11 in the Savinelli Chiara. What an excellent aromatic--not cloying, flavors of pecan & cocoa are spot on with the faintest hint of rum, tobacco is top-notch, and smokes bone dry. Lovely.

Just got back from the shop...went for tobacco and ended up picking up a cheap used Grabow starfire. Put some matured Red Virginia/Perique cake in it and very much enjoyed both.

Tried several of Steven Books' House of Calabash blends at the pipe club tonight. They were: Grandfather's Own, Young Master, White Rose and "For Meerschaums Only". All in my Peterson 80s. I particularly liked White Rose and For Meers. They were all of excellent quality and worth a try for anyone curious.
