A friend gave me a tin of Penzance with 10 years of age on it. Age makes a big difference in this blend. I've always thought it was a pretty one dimensional smoke, preferring Krumble Kake which has more Virginia. This stuff is much better with this age on it. The Latakia has softened with age, allowing the Virginia leaf, which has some bloom to it, to be more of a player in the smoke.
