David McCullough Passed Away at Age 89.

Egg Shen, those were my two favourites, filled with fascinating details and in depth research. I have several others of his and the only one I've not yet read (but bought back in 2018) is John Adams.

Egg Shen, have you read his 'The Wright Brothers'? That was the last of his books that I read and it was just as 'unputdownable' as his other books.

No I have not. I’ll have to take a dive into his catalog this winter- it’s probable that he’s written a lot of good stuff I’ve not read. I’ve always suspected those Wright Bros. were slightly out of their minds.

I'm not a prolific reader like some here but consider John Adams a top 10 lifetime read. Outstanding historical story telling.

Will be sorely missed. 1776 was one of the best reads I had in a long time.

My son just asked if could recommend a good history book. I opened the cabinet to give him 1776 and Lincoln.
