My bigger concern with D&R being sold and Mark retiring is what happens to the perique facility in St. James Parish.

Exactly, I say nothing is safe in the current climate. Unfortunately I think the golden age of pipe tobacco ended the day McClelland announced their going out of business. That was the zenith of quality and selection. Currently we're on a slow downslide... constantly losing and playing catch up. Brands and blends being chipped away, quality and selection slowly eroding.
