It is a shame that they retired. But nothing goes on forever.
The retrohale is heaven.
So....Ryback??????
Virginia, burley, and dark fired. I love it, but not all day. I have a bunch of tiny pipes that it smokes great in.I've trying to love it.. I've smoked my way through a half pound. What's in it? Is the regular 100% dark fired?
Yep. I spoke to them about the possibility of Verge Engine Overdrive coming back into production and the answer wasn’t promising.Next up, Ken Byron.
Mark retains the perique barn. It was not a part of the D&R portfolio, according to Jiminks. My bigger concern with D&R being sold and Mark retiring is what happens to the perique facility in St. James Parish.
Correct. But is it going away?Virginia, burley, and dark fired. I love it, but not all day. I have a bunch of tiny pipes that it smokes great in.
No.Correct. But is it going away?
It hope not, and it's not on the list of ones to get the axe, but nothing is certain lately. If the Prince (albert) can fall, is any blend truly safe?Correct. But is it going away?
Exactly, I say nothing is safe in the current climate. Unfortunately I think the golden age of pipe tobacco ended the day McClelland announced their going out of business. That was the zenith of quality and selection. Currently we're on a slow downslide... constantly losing and playing catch up. Brands and blends being chipped away, quality and selection slowly eroding. It hope not, and it's not on the list of ones to get the axe, but nothing is certain lately. If the Prince (albert) can fall, is any blend truly safe?
