My Daughter is going to run in NYC MARATHON, after years of applying she finally made it. She’s a veteran who has a special job in the VA, helping vets and going all over the US to make sure they get what they need, no pay now, her husband is a vet also, flys for FEDX so they can make it. She was a crew chief on a gunship, you go Stacy!

I was puzzled about the years of applying, then I looked it up and I see only 3% of applicants get in!!!! A popular event indeed, good for her!

I’m lucky living in Sydney, Oz where we have a relatively small population (cf NYC)
We have an annual run called The City to Surf (ends at the world famous Bondi Beach) where all are welcome.
