Dating a Custombilt: Assistance Needed

I have no experience with and/or knowledge of this brand. I tried to get some idea of the era using Pipepedia but can't get an exact match on the makers stamp lettering. And apparently, the stamp lettering also can vary within eras. I need professional assistance.

I've wanted a Custombilt bulldog (or similar chunky) shape for years. But that's as far as my interest in the brand went. This happened to pop up at an estate auction so I went for it. Any help greatly appreciated in advance. Happy to answer any questions.

According to my reading of Bill Ungers’ book ”Individual as a Thumbprint“, that looks like stamp #2, which would put the pipe in 1946-1952.

could be stamp number four.. main difference is letter s. the last few letters are slightly different.

I think the open “b” rules out 2 and 4.

The overarching C and full cursive script are from the later production by Consolidated Cigar in the 1970’s. The sparse (by Mincer standards) rustication is also a hallmark of later production as are fine lines of the rotary toll used to do the rusticating.

I was judging by the cross for the t extending over the o, but I’m not sure.
