Dansk Passion?

Do any of you old smokers remember Peter Stokkebye's Dansk Passion? It's not produced any longer. I am a returning pipe smoker and that was my favorite blend years ago. My question is: Is there another blend that comes close to Dansk Passion?
TobaccoReviewes.com is the only reference I can find and they describe it as "Golden Red Virginias from three continents, blended with Black Cavendish."
Any feedback is appreciated.

Right now I am smoking mostly cavendish blends. Specifically Peter Stokkebye Black Dansk and their Golden Dansk because I wanted to see if any similarities existed to Dansk Passion. No such luck with those. The search will continue. I probably need to venture into some of the fruity flavors to get closer to what I recall.

They are in a different league. The Peter Stokkebey Dansk varieties are not what I would consider aromatic like Dansk Passion was. Passion had a distinct aromatic flavor while the new offerings are more cavendish like, more of a tobacco flavor. I must say that the Black Dansk is very flavorful and I am enjoying it more than the Golden. The Golden seems to burn a little hot to me. Perhaps it is just the bite.

That's a great suggestion, supdog. The description for Dansk Passion had those ingredients. Perhaps this blend was the base for Dansk Passion. I haven't tried a regular Virginia yet so this seems like a good place to start.

The Danish Export is the same as the Peter Stokkebye RYO tobacco by the same name - the pipe version is just cut differently than the RYO shag. This one is going to taste more like cigarette tobacco in your pipe.

I too enjoy the Black very much.
