Thats why he is the President of SToP Ltd as I generally avoid stuff like this since Dan is so much better with children, animals and people than I could ever manage!

Just finished listening to the the show. Well done Mr. Johnson, very entertaining. I look forward to placing my order for all the Standard Tobacco blends come December. I'm also anxiously awaiting the news regarding progress on Warhorse Bar.

Since condorlover1 is an attorney by trade will he apply to and (hopefully) subsequently be admitted to the War Horse Bar? Inquiring minds want to know!

Russ and I were talking today and it seems that (without dropping names) industry forces are joining hands to make the War Horse Bar a reality. We're getting some help from one of the great folks in our corner of the tobacco world in acquiring the equipment that we'll need to press and cut plug. It makes me smile knowing what fine and generous people we have in the pipe tobacco business.

It would seem the successful resurrection of "War Horse" is something a lot of folks want to see. It's truly amazing how many people will offer a helping hand when you're trying to save something iconic. It should make you feel pretty good about the endeavor and the team for the willingness to undertake it. Peoples support is its own endorsement.

@Huntertrw The Biltmore Hotel is long gone before I ever set foot in NYC although it was the same age as Grand Central Station I am led to understand. The only Hotel and Bar of that time in that locale to have survived I would guess is the Roosevelt and I have never been partial to $18 Martini's and if I am going to drink them I tend to go to the St Regis. My wife tends to live in Fifth Avenue shops when she is in NYC and I usually need a stiff cocktail to recover from the bashing she gives Amex when visiting. Sadly NYC has become something of a theme park these days, very expensive with little of its old character and charm. My associate is the Trade Mark Attorney whilst I specialize in European M&A law and have as little to do with the USA side of legal things as possible outside of drafting the odd public offering prospectus.

Astute observation, Simon.

In 20th-century American English, the term is now commonly used to mean a dimwitted or a stupid person, a usage first recorded in 1932 and popularized by the cartoon character Bugs Bunny, who sarcastically refers to the hunter Elmer Fudd as "nimrod", as an ironic connection between "mighty hunter" and "poor little Nimrod", i.e. Fudd.
