Not one comment about the rattlesnake venom....

Well, we all have our problems.
I keep my carryin' tobacco in one of the rectangular tins ... but I like the size of those little tins, and I like that they're screw top. Cool idea. I might have to steal it.

Hey doc, do the cans make any noise rattling around in your bag? Also, what kind of bag do you carry? I just bought a massive work bag from Wilson's Leather, but I'm in need of a daily satchel (i.e., something a bit more portable).

My bag is a Duluth Pack small ruck sack/messenger bag hybrid which they have quit making. It is a shame because this bag has traveled around the world many times over and endured hard use in swamps, deserts, coral atolls, and jungles with only edge wear visible. I suppose I will have to have someone custom make me one when this one gives up the ghost. The tins do not make any noise but my bag is tightly packed. But I pulled them out and knocked them around in my hands and they are fairly quiet even so. I thought about using a couple of thick rubber bands to bind them together but then I couldn't slip them in wherever...

They will still let air circulate so I use wax paper to cover the tobacco. The pressnseal also works well. A roll of $2 wax paper should last years.

"I bought these screw top tin (I think they are tin) "
Aquadoc, they are made of rolled steel. Tin, besides being expensive is very heavy and has a dull, grey appearance.
Just thought I'd mention it :puffy:

Jay.

Swinging back around here, thanks for the link! As I do a lot with Amazon, I will bide my time and wait until the price goes down again... 8)
