I've read some of the archived threads on Dagner pipes when they first came into existence. I was hoping to get a little insight on them now that they've had sometime on the market. There is a nice Anse I've fell in love with and wanted to know a little more about them. Pipedia has a few lines dedicated to them but not much info.

At some point a few years ago, didn't an Italian manufacturer take over production of the designs and they were only sold at The Danish Pipe Shop?
I think their briar pipe production was always from Italy. The ElDagner collaboration was probably the Danish Pipe Shop thing.

I owned a Series 1 Dagner Pipe as I was friends with them, and even hosted them at my house for a BBQ where I acquired my Dagner pipe from Jason personally. Very cool guys and always helpful to those getting into the hobby.

As for the pipe it was well constructed and smoked great. No issues with it, but a while back I culled a good number of my pipes and that was one that went away. I think they're solid pipes for the price.
