Sorry for your loss. I am late to the thread but maybe save them and enjoy them with your child in the future?
Lovely looking pipes and I'm so happy that you have them now. I lost my father as a younger man and I know myself that any possessions I have of his are cherished. My Dad smoked a pipe to relax since i can remember, mainly at weekends in the garden and in the pub beer garden. He had a lot more pipes, but these were some of his favourites. I may go through his collection at a later date but wanted to grab these and any unopened/jarred tobacco before my mum threw them out! We used to sometimes smoke together on a walk to the pub or in the Garden. A nice father and son moment!

Thanks for such a thoughtful commentHey there. Man I’m sorry for being late to the thread and just wanted to offered my deepest condolences. I lost my father just a few short years ago and miss him a lot. He wasn’t a pipe smoker but did smoke cigarettes and damn it I wish i would have come across the stuff I did on line that got me into this hobby before he was gone. Sitting on the porch with the old man and smoking a pipe just seems like a perfect way to spend time with good old dad. Never got to though. I think it’s pretty damn cool that you inherited your old man’s pipe. looks Like he had very good taste and I’m pretty impressed in his collection. I hope when you smoke them they bring back the best of memories my friend. I’m terribly sorry for your loss and hope that this is a way to find some solace and comfort.
May he Rest In Peace. Very sorry for your loss..
I did indeed. He loved it and now i have it and will smoke it in his memoryDid you ever gift your father a pipe? A sad thing I often think about, is how every gift you give your parents will one day come back to you.
