Are these models rare to find?

When I first started looking... on ebay... I seemed to see plenty... now I can't find any... not that I prefer eBay... I'd rather support one of our vendors

Just don't seem to see as many cutty shapes as others, but there are so many different shapes.
I make a cutty on occasion and the shape is fun as well as looks good. Good luck on your hunt.

I have always felt Cutty shapes were few and far between. I had one made by a former forum member. You may want to have one commissioned as well, as the ones that are out there are very pricey.

I too have been seeing fewer cutties on the estate market. Never tried one but I really have been attracted to the canted bowl more and more lately. As for canadians, I tried a couple and didn't like them. I think for me it is the long shank. Though it has a metal stem I put the metal pipes like Grabow CDL in this category as well. All great pipes them selves just not for me. I posted the two caadians I currently have on Briarbid for around $20 each and a Grabow CDL I have as well.
(Do I count as a vendor now??? Sorry if talking about my auctions on Briabid seems tacky. Thus why I did not link to them)

I found these two cuttys at a local consignment shop. The silver markings indicate an interesting history dating back to Birmingham England in 1897. Needless to say, I'll be holding on to them. A real find. Happy hunting.

A Charatan Canadian...from the same consignment shop. I visit often as a symptom of my PAD problem. Please don't tell my wife.

The cutty has seen a rise in popularity after Kevin Costner spent a good portion of the Hattfields and McCoys puffing on that beautyf of a cutty, which may explain its rarity lately to an extent. As far as Canadians go, I've never really been into them so I haven't looked all that much. I know Peterson has a Canadian shape in their shape line and I think smokingpipes.com might have it in a finish or two. Just use the search bar for shape on the site.
