Here we have a stout little black blast nosewarmer with a horn shank mount against a spiky plateau rimmed cutty with a bakelite stem.

Some of these pipes are distinctive and the carver may be recognizable to many. Please try to avoid guessing the carver in the comments so as not to influence any voters, but feel free to comment on what you like and don't like about each one. Apparently they have done away with the poll feature here, so please cast your vote in a comment and I will count them when the threads begin to naturally slow down.

I really love the spiky rim of Number Two—I just wish the lines and flow of the shape were nicer—it lacks the grace of One. Voting for Number One on this. The novelty of the Nosewarmer Cutty is a cool twist.
I was also excited to see a couple short ones in the mix. I wondered how many would go short. Given that the shape is really an homage to clays, there are two types of clays that always pop into my head, the super long pipes in 18th century tavern paintings (obviously not applicable in this project) and of course the short stubby clay hanging out of the mouth of an Old Salt! Was glad to see a couple come in under 5 inches so I can get my old salt on.

Both are really nice but I’m not a fan of nose warmers so my vote goes to #2 the stummel is gorgeous- the bowl ,the blast and the stain are all pretty awesome but I would have preferred the stem to be shaped differently.

These are both wonderful, but I have to go with #1...it's just absolutely gorgeous. It's so beautifully shaped, and the horn mount really sets it off perfectly.

Second hardest choice so far. If forced to choose, I'll go #2...wait...#1....crap! #2 wins for me at this moment but the sad truth is that had the matchups been different, #1 would have moved forward against at least 3 other pipes.

EDIT: No offense intended to the OP as all the pipes are wonderful and opinions are like...you know. There's no such thing as a perfect bracket either.
