Custom build your own tobacco pipes

I was looking for pipes and it crossed my mind of having a site were you could build your own pipe choose what stem you and bowl1s and all that

Good idea. It's only a matter of time. It wouldn't be the same as commissioning a pipe, where it is a

collaboration between a skilled carver and the customer. Some of the components would have to

be standardized so a number of stems would fit a number of bowls, to keep the price down, so there

wouldn't be too much custom work required. But I can see it working.

I've never owned one but the folks who got'em seem to like'em.

I like the idea. The standard shapes seem to sell the best anyway. Pair that with a several exterior choices, a dozen or so stains, bit choices and custom engraving for $200... In the end it's the quality that counts but highly possible it could work.
