It arrived yesterday, and I had the 1-st smoke : Nice. NB from Al Pascia, I have also bought *CHURCHWARDEN 2*---Mouthpiece, so now--I.ve got Reverse Calabash//ChurchwardenProbably someone like Barontini, or one of several others--maybe even Savinelli. And house brands generally don't stick to just one manufacturer, so it becomes moot. You could ask Al Pascia.
How does it smoke? I've always been curious about them.
We greatly appreciate your interest. The Curvy pipe was introduced in 2015 and has always been under the Al Pascià brand. Initially, it was produced for us by Gubbels (which also manufactures the Big Ben, Hilson, and Porsche Design brands) and is now made in Italy. For the production of Al Pascià Curvy pipes, we exclusively use briar that we select at the sawmill of Mimmo Romeo and rely on our own craftsmen for their construction.Interesting that they're still using the Gubbels design of the original curvy.
Being a big fan of Gubbels, I knew that. Just interesting that unlike other brands the shape has remained unchanged since Big Ben's Barbados pipes. We greatly appreciate your interest.
