Good article, his discussion of the link between alkalinity and nicotine delivery and the tendency for that to increase towards the bottom of the bowl was interesting.

My pleasure. I'm glad you are enjoying the article. I'm actually taking some studies and reading a lot of books to learn about tobacco. As I learn stuff, that's how I get the ideas for the articles to request from Russ, Greg and Bob.

I love Russ's articles. They always satisfy, and answer those questions I didn't know I had.

The differing effects of the various curing methods has always been tough to understand.

Russ speaks to us in clear-concise, easy to understand language.

Tobacco is grown in Wisconsin, and has been for many years. Check out Edgerton Wi, which is not far from Janesville and Madison. They have an annual festival to honor their tobacco heritage. This year the festival is July 14-17, 2011.
