I soaked some C&D granulated perique in rum, and after it dried out, smoked half a bowl. I am fairly nicotine tolerant, but I think I started to turn a shade of green after half of that. I've smoked straight perique before without ill effects, but this preparation started to get to me. Being ever temperate, I set the bowl down to recover. You have to be pretty hard core to smoke this stuff, and I'm not.
What to do with the remaining rum-soaked perique? Mix it 50/50 with Haunted Bookshop, that's what!
So there it is - Crowley's Bookshop. An exquisite blend of the much vaunted Haunted Bookshop delicately spiced with stout portion of rum-soaked perique. Sipped from a sacrificial MM Country Gentleman cob, the cool smoke and flavors soaked away my day's cares. Truly a fine smoke for a sunny afternoon in October.
