I think so. I’ve heard some folks mention that. IIRC, @Chasing Embers once told me there was some “scare” related to a hypothesis that it aggravated respiratory illnesses. In response to that, blenders were either forced or willfully chose to dial it way back. Then it turned out the hypothesis was incorrect, but blenders never went back to using the quantity they did before. I think the story goes something like that.
