I am getting off cigarettes and going for a pipe. I have cartons of filtered little cigars so is there any way I can save the tobacco and flavor it in order to make a halfway decent smoke for my pipes?

It's not very likely that you'd be happy with the results, there's a lot of difference between the tobacco used in little cigars and pipe tobacco. If you know someone who also smokes little cigars, you might offer them at a discount. That way your friend could save a few bucks and you could use the cash for some blends better suited to a pipe.

You can always take the tobacco out of a few of them and burn it

to see if it's a blend that you enjoy smoking in a Pipe...

I would say find someone who smoke the small cigars you have and just give them all that you have...giving usually results in larger returns for you in sometimes unseen ways. Make someones day.

I was just thinking...( I know that's a scarey thought...) but I'm wondering if the "filters" on the cigarrettes could be broken off and then inserted between the stem and mouthpiece and used as a pipe filter ?? I myself have omitted cigarrettes from my consumption too, but, I wonder if the "taste" and "flavours" would be comprimised greatly if this home made filter was incorporated ??

The cigarrette tobacco should be dumped or recycled ...way too many chemicals in that nonsence !!
