Bumper stickers and vanity plates are rarely great humor or moving messages. I've had one or two, but I always think, man, I've got to find a better forum.

Ages back, there were a great many people with the bumper sticker reading "I FOUND IT." Then one day, I saw a pickup truck with a variation: "I FOUND IT, BUT THE DAMN THING FELL OFF." Doubt they're connected, but after that the number of sightings of the first version began tapering off.

One time, I printed up a batch of tiny (about 2" x 6") bumper stickers reading:
"If you can read this, you're too close,
And if you can finish it, Its too late."
The customer was happy (he was the same guy whose tag line on his business cards read "Mobile Mechanic -- Foreign, Domestic, Alien"

The only two I remember was one I saw on the back of a motorcycle that said 'Short Vehicle' and one I saw recently which I thought was brilliant stated 'Jefferson Davis for President 2024!' which I thought was as funny as hell!

Not a bumper sticker, but the funniest thing I have ever seen on the back of a vehicle.

While walking down a street in Baltimore in the 90's, a very old, diminutive man drove past in a full sized early 80's Cadillac.

On the back, around his Pearl Harbor Survivor license plate, was one of those license plate frames that said, "Happiness is being in Hawaii."

I use to have a bumper sticker in my early 20s on the bumper of my Subaru Loyola from a restaurant on that island in VA (whose name I am too lazy to look up as it's somewhat difficult to spell) that has those the wild horses which are sadly dying off because they are so inbred that said "if it smells like fish eat it". Believe it or not...women would actually honk at me or at least that's how I care to remember it.

This is interesting. Help me understand not having tinted windows, though. I get the license plate and stickers, because they are often political and inflammatory.

Darkly tinted windows to a police officer represent two things:

1 Your vehicle stands out from the herd

2 You don’t want him looking inside

If you’ll notice all the evil villains in the movies drive vehicles with dark tinted windows.

In real life it’s likely a kid, which is even more reason for the police to pull over a car.

Codgers like us usually aren’t having as much fun as we did forty years ago.:)

Many times here, I have seen the police with a car pulled over, ripping the tint off of people's windows. You can't have tint here. And, you are even subject to it if you are merely driving through here.

A co-worker and I had to run to a warehouse and pick up a few things last summer. We saw about a 2005ish F-150 with gigantic, all caps letters taking up the entire back window that said, both simply and succinctly, “I EAT ASS.”

If you want to talk about the why, this is a good case study.
If a beautiful woman stepped out of that truck, I'd go and ask her to marry me right then and there.
